Google Support For Japan. To support information discovery and relief efforts in Japan, Google has enhanced its online tools. Google is also centralizing Crisis Response portal.

The Crisis Response portal is available in more languages include Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean and for a broader range of mobile devices in simpler version by Google. The Crisis Response page itself set up after a 9.0 earthquake and a devastating tsunami hit Japan on March 11

Google also offers Google's Person Finder Web application and Google Maps to help Japan society. Google's Person Finder Web application, designed to let people and organizations post and search for the names of affected residents. Now, this application also lets users enter and search for residents' mobile phone numbers as an alternative way of seeking them. Besides that, Google has also improved the Person Finder features with Picasa Web album.

Google is also providing frequent updates of satellite images of affected areas in this Google Maps page and this Picasa Web album. Other Google Maps pages display current electricity blackout instances, road conditions and aftershock epicenters and shelter locations.

Google also shares information via Twitter accounts, including @googlejapan and @earthoutreach. We hope this Google support can reach all Japan people.
