- Make sure you have all the things you'll need. These are Small Phillips Head Screwdriver, Acer laptop, the right RAM for your Acer laptop, and ESD wrist strap for electro static discharge protection.
- After you prepare all the things you'll need, then unplug your laptop from the AC power source and remove the battery.
- Don’t forget to protect your computer from static electricity by grounding yourself with an ESD wrist strap or through another grounding method. It will keep you save.
- Then, locate the memory access door for the main memory module. Do it on the back of your computer!
- Unscrew the memory access door and remove it.
- Remove the RAM module by applying gentle outward pressure to the securing clips on either side of the RAM module until they release.
- After that, rotate the RAM module upward to a 45 degree angle and slide it out of the slot.
- Align the new RAM module with the tab in the connector slot.
- Slide it firmly into place and gently rotate it downward until it clicks into place.
- Last, replace the memory access door and replace the battery then power up the computer. Check your Acer laptop for working properly!
