How To Record Audio Using Audacity




Now, you can record audio music in your home with a program named Audacity. Audacity is a free program that can you install in your PC. This is a multi-function program to record multi-track audio pieces, whether it's music, an Internet "radio show" or a podcast. Check out our guides to use Audacity!

How to use Audacity:
- First of all, install Audacity by download it or use a CD-rom installation disc. To install it, you just need to follow the "Install Wizard" prompts.
- Connect your PC to microphone to start the recording.
- To record a track on Audacity, open Audacity program. Then, look at the control panel on the top of the screen. From left to right, the double backward arrow button takes you to the beginning of the track, the forward arrow is "play," the red circle is "record," the double blue lines are "pause," the yellow box is "stop," and the double forward arrow takes you to the end of the track. Turn the volume down on your speakers, and press "record."
- Start to speak or sing into the microphone. When you are done, press "stop."
- Then, to edit your track on Audacity, use the slide bar at the bottom of the screen to take you to the area in the recording that you want to edit. Highlight that section you want to edit in the track. Next, press the "delete," or backspace button, on your keyboard. If you made a mistake in editing, go to the "edit" selection in the toolbar at the top of the screen and press "undo."
