Arabic Keyboard Guides

Arabic keyboarding is an important skill. Actually with intensive practice, you can write using Arabic Keyboard as quickly as on an English-only keyboard. Here we provide the guides.

How to write on a Arabic keyboard:
- These are the things you’ll need: appropriate Arabic keyboard for your computer and appropriate plug-in
- Install the correct plug-in for your word-processing software. The plug-in will enable you to use multi-lingual or non-English keyboards correctly.
- Then, set up your keyboard. Read all included material before you plug in your new keyboard for right set up.
- Open an empty document on your word-processing program. Be sure that your program is set to type in Arabic and aligned correctly. It will type from right to left, and not left to right as in English.
- Just practice typing. Notice, there are no "capital" or "upper case" letters in Arabic. Pressing the Shift key will type a whole new letter, or variation of that letter, instead of a capital letter.
- Familiarize yourself with the Arabic Keyboard to avoid common mistakes. Some of the superscript characters will be different (such as $ being above the number 4).

In order to write Arabic efficiently, clearly and intelligibly you also need a little preparedness and some basic knowledge. Keep practice!
